What’s happening?
Kelly Lyons is joining our staff team as our new Lifepoint Kids Director of Operations. While this is an unpaid position, Kelly is excited to work on our team so that we can see more and more kids learning to love God. Kelly brings decades of experience from leading in the corporate world, and we are excited to have her on our staff team! Kelly’s primary focus will be on equipping our amazing volunteers who serve in Lifepoint Kids. Kelly will officially begin her new role on November 21, 2021.
Angie Thompson will continue leading as our Lifepoint Kids Director of Discipleship. Because of Kelly’s new role, Angie will have more time each week to focus on the big picture for Lifepoint Kids and relational discipleship with kids and families.
Why is this happening?
As our Lifepoint Kids ministry has grown, we have been increasingly aware that we need to add staff to take the next step in this area. When Lifepoint began 8 years ago, there were a handful of pre-schoolers. Now there are typically over 100 children every Sunday. Kelly will help us increase our capacity to reach and disciple kids and families in our community.
