The Power of One

The Power of One

SCRIPTURE

Colossians 4:2-6

2 Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ, on account of which I am in prison— that I may make it clear, which is how I ought to speak.

Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time. Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.

OBSERVATIONS

1. Be prayerful…Pray continuously. (V.2-4)

“We don’t pray before we work; prayer is the work, then God works.”- Vance Pitman

2. Be mindful…Act wisely (V.5)

3. Be respectful…Speak graciously (V.6)

“Don’t you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can’t you see that His kindness is intended to turn you from your sin?” – Romans 2:4 (NLT)
