Tell us a little bit about your family and where you’re from.
Amanda and I were married in the summer of 2016. We have two daughters in elementary school and one daughter who was just born in 2025. I was born and raised in Mount Vernon, and we love this town.
When did you meet Jesus?
My mom was a music director at a church when I was growing up. I spent many days running the halls of that church and learned about Jesus at a very young age. I committed to living a life with Jesus as Lord while in elementary school.
My faith really became my own late in high school and into my college years. These were very formative years in my life, and I am grateful for the spiritual mentors that God placed in my life at that time.
There have been many highs and many lows throughout my spiritual journey. Yet Jesus’ love for me has remained constant, and I’m grateful that He’s been with me most of my life.
What is one of your favorite Bible verses?
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”
Ephesians 2:8–10
What is your current role at Lifepoint?
I am the College and Young Adult Pastor at Lifepoint. I began serving on Lifepoint’s staff team August of 2026.
How do you hope your ministry impacts people?
The young adult stage of life is extremely important. People are learning to transition from being at home with family in high school to becoming more independent. This is the stage of my life where I really took ownership of my own faith, and I am excited to walk alongside this age group in that journey.
Through this ministry, I pray that young people will fall more in love with Jesus and allow that love to impact how they love others.
Tell us about your ministry experience.
Even though this is my first official role in a church, God has given me many opportunities to serve in a local church setting already. I’ve played on worship teams since I was in high school, I’m a Lifegroup leader at Lifepoint, and I’ve been given the chance to preach at different places along the way.
I also spent two summers in college interning at churches in Ohio and Oregon. I’ve also taken numerous seminary-level courses to continue my theological training.
What are some of your favorite TV shows, books, movies, and music?
TV Shows: The Office is by far my favorite show. I’ll also watch the Guardians and almost any Ohio State sporting event. I’d watch the Browns, but what’s really the point?
Books: I really enjoy reading. My grandma would be proud. I especially enjoy books on biblical theology and books by authors like John Piper, J.I. Packer, Kevin DeYoung, and the early writings of Francis Chan. My favorite author right now is Matt Harmon.
Movies: I’ll watch whatever Disney movie my kids are watching. We’re introducing them to the sports movies that we watched as kids, and it’s been a blast.
Music: I love music. I’ll listen to most things outside of punk, screamo, and polka. Worship artists I enjoy include Phil Wickham, Austin Stone Worship, Elevation Worship, The Belonging Co, and Hillsong UNITED. Two of my favorite non-worship artists right now are Drew Holcomb and Mat Kearney.
What do you enjoy doing for fun?
My three girls provide most of the fun for our family—they are awesome. Outside of that, I enjoy reading, playing music, and watching sports.
