Adam was raised in the church but didn't become a Christian until his early 20's. He was an atheist during undergrad, studying math and physics at Ashland University. After graduating from college, Adam taught high school math for five years while also coaching football and basketball.
Adam married his amazing wife Molly in July of 2007. Adam and Molly have four pretty cool kids – Ethan, Ella, Annie, and Owen – whose hobbies include making lots of noise and not cleaning up after themselves ;-). Adam enjoys hanging out with his family and friends, playing just about any sport, cheering for the Buckeyes and Browns, and reading. Adam helped plant Lifepoint Church in 2013 and currently serves as the Lead Pastor. He has earned his M.A. in Theological Studies from Liberty University.
Angie is a local girl who has grown up in Mount Vernon and has been learning to follow Jesus since she was 12 years old. She and her amazing husband, Andrew, have three wonderful children, Emma, Will, and Kate, and they have been attending Lifepoint since 2007. Angie has always loved working with children, as she graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene University with a degree in Early Childhood Education and had the privilege to teach second grade for five years in a local school district. It has been a wonderful transition for her to be able to teach children in a different capacity and have the chance to share the Gospel message with them every week, and she also loves leading and serving alongside all of the fantastic Lifepoint Kids leaders who desire to help raise up the next generation of leaders and disciples. She considers herself completely blessed to have two amazing jobs with raising her own children and also partnering with families at Lifepoint as they walk this spiritual journey with their children!
Bryan is an Illinois native and came to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior while in high school. He married Deana in 1991 and they have six children: Hannah, Molly, Samuel, Lilly Beth, Sophia, and Annalia.
Bryan moved to the Buckeye state in 1993 where he worked as a research scientist in the medical food industry for 10 years and concurrently earned his Ph.D. from The Ohio State University. In 2002, the Lord called him into full-time missionary service, and they served for 13 years as missionaries to Chile with the International Mission Board. In preparation for the international mission field, Bryan also studied at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and completed his MA in Theology. Bryan joined Lifepoint's staff in 2017 and currently serves as the Executive Pastor.
Deana was raised in central Illinois and came to know Jesus personally while in high school. She and her husband, Bryan, moved to the Columbus area after graduating from the University of Illinois. She worked as a chemist in an environmental wastewater testing lab for several years before becoming a homeschooling, stay-at-home mom. She and Bryan have six amazing kids - Hannah (married to Gonzalo), Molly, Samuel, Lilly Beth, Sophia, and Annalia. The Wolf family served in Chile, South America for 13 years with the International Mission Board. Deana served as the Connections Director for three years and currently serves as Missions Director.
John has been a Christ-follower all of his life and is obsessed with using tech for God's glory. When he's not nerding out over tech stuff, John enjoys studying Hebrew and systematic theology. John's been married to his wife Amber for 6 years, and they have two kids together.
Leadership Development Director
Marc is passionate about his faith and serving others. He recently retired after over 35 years in the business world and is now using his experiences and expertise to support the Lifepoint staff in the areas of leadership, strategy development, and communications. Marc also supports the members and regular attenders at Lifepoint Mt. Vernon by helping them find serving opportunities that maximize their time, talent, and treasure for God's kingdom. Marc has been married to Kelly for 38 years, and they have two grown children.
Megan serves as a worship director at Lifepoint Church. She has lived in Texas and California, but considers herself mostly from Colorado, where she lived for 27 years. She first said yes to Jesus at age 5 at a vacation Bible school and felt a calling to vocational ministry at age 16. Megan's adventures in music and ministry have included lots of itinerant worship leading, some interim work at churches, some songwriting and recording, and day jobs including, but not limited to: Starbucks barista, chiropractic office administrator and dental lab tech. She met her husband, Josh, in 2011 through a mutual vocal coach in Denver. They married in 2013 and moved to Mount Vernon in 2018 for Josh's work in residence life at MVNU. They have two super fun, active little boys named Tim and Sam.
Student and College Pastor
Sam is a native of the great state of West Virginia and came to know the Lord at the age of 6. He came to Mount Vernon Nazarene University in the Fall of 2015 on a golf scholarship and graduated in the Winter of 2019 with a degree in Integrated Social Studies Education. He continues to help out with the Men's and Women's Golf Teams, serving as a part-time Assistant Coach.
Sam was married to his amazing wife, Taiylor Preston, on July 5th, 2020. In his free time, Sam enjoys outdoor activities such as playing golf with friends, going on hikes, fishing, as well as other hobbies such as reading and writing. He has served on staff with Lifepoint Church since January 1, 2020, when he began his current position as Student and College Pastor.
